Strategic Ports and Maritime Infrastructures
Costa Rica has several essential ports for its economy and maritime transport. Among the main ones, the port of Moín on the Caribbean coast is one of the most important for international trade, notably for the export of bananas, coffee, and manufactured goods. On the Pacific coast, the port of Caldera plays a crucial role, especially for imports and passenger traffic. These ports are equipped to accommodate various types of vessels, from container ships to general cargo ships. The Costa Rican government regularly invests in the modernization of port infrastructures to improve competitiveness and maritime safety.
