Main Ports and Maritime Infrastructure
Croatia has several major ports that play a key role in international trade and maritime tourism. Among them, the port of Rijeka is the largest and most important for commercial freight, serving as the main gateway for goods passing through the Adriatic Sea. The port of Split, on the other hand, is the heart of recreational boating and the starting point for many excursions to the Croatian islands. Dubrovnik, famous for its iconic old town, also has a port that hosts numerous yachts and cruise ships, attracting visitors eager to explore the region's crystal-clear waters. In addition to these large ports, Croatia has many small ports and well-equipped marinas that offer comprehensive services for boaters, including berthing areas, supplies, repair and maintenance services, and boat rental equipment.
