Portugal and its Maritime Tradition
Located at the westernmost point of Europe, Portugal benefits from a vast maritime frontage on the Atlantic Ocean, spanning approximately 1,794 kilometers of coast. For centuries, this country has been recognized for its rich maritime heritage, especially during the Age of Discoveries when Portuguese navigators opened new maritime routes across the globe.
