The FEU is a unit of container capacity equal to one standard 40-foot container — 12.2 meters long — or two TEU. Forty-foot boxes (dry and high-cube) dominate deep-sea trades, so freight rates on major lanes are commonly quoted per FEU.
Capacity statistics, on the other hand, are usually expressed in TEU. Converting is straightforward: one FEU equals two TEU.
Safecube gives you door-to-door visibility on container shipments, with live vessel positions and predictive ETAs on every trade lane.
